masked with algae
as flattened captives
serrated toward the back
like a familiar, " snapper "
in a flash-shaped cavity
Within a burgeoning ethos
of erotic freedom
burrowing with front feet
around the margins of ponds
bound with goldenrod
fringed prominently
with a pink calyx
sweetened to taste...
