practicing being scared
when monsters pop out of the dark
and you get your freak on
with a superstar dear to your heart
like chugging a cocktail
in spotted pajamas
Screaming can hardly
be helped when suitably
creeped out in a haunted house
stalked by chainsaws in dim quarters
Choose any theme or medium
like a gnarled bottle in a scarlet box
as angels drop on what will follow
perched on stars with fixed repertoires
Miraculously intact built from scratch
based on patterns of artifacts
believed to have vanished
Only graphics on a black screen
with typed commands like,
" walk east " and " open window "
with no mouse and no sound
wandering without
never having been allowed...
